Barratts - Red Tape Lace Up Formal Brogues

Another eventful week: First term at University DONE! Boots Graduate Interview DONE! Social life taking a massive dive SUPER-DONE! Plus, with my camera deciding to take a holiday from sensible functional operations I thought blogging was going to come to a screaming halt but 'hurrah' it has returned and just in time to blog about my new add on to my footwear collection.

Brogues you either know what to do with them. and therefore love them, or you're scared to touch a pair due to wondering which category they fall into, Smart or Casual? But, this is the exact reason why I love them as they are fit for all purposes, especially this pair. My new 'Red Tape Brogues' were sourced from Barratts online, grab a pair here > (http://www.barratts.co.uk/en/red-tape-lace-up-formal-brogues-309710)  <  and even if the title suggests they are formal I easily managed to dress them down with a red checked shirt from Hollister and green skinny jeans from River Island.

I wore this outfit to the Christmas markets in Manchester and let me tell you that Mulled wine has never tasted so good! 13 DAYS TO GO TO CHRISTMAS, so go on treat yourself...I did :-D

H&M Navy American Stripe Blazer

Blazer - H&M, T-Shirt and Shoes - Topman, Jeans - River Island

Well, this week has been an eventful one indeed in the land of blogging. My first blog outfit was editors choice on WIWT and later that week it was ranked against all other editors choice outfits and I placed 7th! Thrilled doesn't even cover it, I even got voted by Poppy Disney herself! I'm not ashamed I say I felt a little like a celebrity for 30 seconds...then the dream died when I had to go back to work.

Whilst I surf on the aftermath of the excellent news I will describe my latest find. I am going to nominate this as my 'MILESTONE OUTFIT OF THE YEAR'! The blazer, which I found in H&M at £59.99, is my first casual blazer and its definitely a keeper. I adore American themed garments such as Letterman Jackets and this blazer supplied me with my latest fix. This Navy blazer is trimmed with white buttons and is a slim fit style but the best part is the sleeves. Roll em' up or keep em' down nothing can take away from the beautiful design of the Blazer. For this outfit I partnered it with a plain blue T-shirt and Grey jeans and for footwear I chose a pair of shoes that wouldn't take focus from the Blazer.

I bought this to wear for a Bloggers Christmas party in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, which was brilliant but can I ask, where are all the Male Fashion Bloggers?

Time to upload this outfit to WIWT and see how well this one does.

Thanks for tuning in!

Cedar Wood State Navy Jumper: My First Blog Post

Welcome to my very first blog post!

I am going to jump right into the fray and say that I was not a massive lover of Primark, I know, shoot me. To be honest it wasn't snobbery which caused me to look elsewhere it was the feeling of being trapped in a white box with the same heat levels as a sauna. BUT I stand before you as a reformed Primarni shopper, the new layout of the store in Manchester city centre is beautiful.

Blogging of Primark, this is where I found my Cedar Wood State navy jumper. for a steal at £12. I am a BIG lover of over sized jumpers and what really caught my eye was the white pilling on the garment, it reminded me of snow and seeing as Christmas is looming I thought it to be a crime to Santa not to purchase it! I decided to pair it with my trusty white statement jeans which are Levis 501's and black military boots from River Island. I really do like this outfit and I may be donning it for the Harvey Nichols Beauty and PR event in Manchester but to class it up a little I might switch the boots for a pair of Navy/tan Boat shoes.

I can finally say that I'm a blogger now! Just a quick note to say sorry about the moody looking pictures, I can smile but my braces tend to take focus away from the clothing! ...Maybe I'll take a picture of them and do a separate blog post on those bad boys another day.

Thanks for dropping by! x
